This day. Several publican's were caught selling yesterday, and will be prosecuted. Mrßryce inspected the ironsand works on Thursday. Mr W. Swansnn spent a restless night on Thursday, but was easier yesterday. The railway reclamation is in progress. The cricket match, Auckland Repre sentatives v. Taranaki, is proceeding at the Domain, and Auckland has one wicket down for 30 runs. The Hospital Committee has decided to offer Miss 5 Laura .Smith the office of I lady superintendent. Miss Smith has organised a Young Women's Institute here. A cottage belonging to Nathan Kay, late of the Thames, was burned down today. Neither furniture nor clothing was laved. No insurance.
