Yesterday. Mr beeves has definitely withdrawn his candidature for Inangahua seat, leaving Mr Wakefilii alone in the field. It is said that Mr E. Shaw, of Wellington, is anxious to contest the election, but nothing certain is as yet known, all parties looking forward to the announcement by the Speaker of the receipt of Mr Weston's resignation.
