Yesterday,
The petition of Mr Hepburn against the return of Capt. Chrisp to the Borough Council ou the ground of his being interested in a printing contract, as ope of the Herald proprietors, was dismissed with costs, as, prior to the election, the Herald had thrown up the contract, and the Council accepted its assignment to Mr J. Brown.
