Mr Alfred Austin has accepted, on behalf of young Scott, the challenge of David O'Leary to walk anyone in the Australian colonies. The great American pedestrian has just arrived in Melbourne, and Mr Austin has written to him backing Scott to walk him at a 24 hours* match for £100 or £200 a-side. The match is to take place in Dunedin.
