RACECOURSE, WELLINGTON.
Yesterday.
After we went to press yesterday, the following result of the~raeeting was re-, ceived : —
Wellington Racing Club Handicap. —Tasman, 1; Poet, 2; Louie, 3. No others started. Tasman and* the Poet were equal favorites. Poet assumed the lead until reaching the straight, where he was challenged by Tasman, and after a splendid set-to the latter was landed.win-; ncr by half a length, Louie being twelve lengths away. Time, 3mins llfsecs. The Consolation resulted in a win for Hippodamia, beating his only opponent (Pawa) easily.
