London, January 4. The steamer Colombo, which grounded in the Suez Canal, at present completely blocks the traffic.
Negotiations between England and France on the subject of the control of the Egyptian finances are at a complete standstill, the arrangements proposed on either side being mutually unsatisfactory. Christine Nillson (the Swedish nightingale)/ is at present suffering from an affection of the throat, which will prevent her appearing in public for some time to come. The crops in Lincolnshire have become completely sodden through the late heavy rains, and their entire destruction is considered a matter of certainty.
