This day.

William Dale, recently manager of the Patea Permanent Building Society was charged at the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, at the instance of the Directors, with forgery. The actual offence was altering the pass book to make it appear that £271 15s had been paid into the Bank, .whereas, the correct amount was £11 15s. lit*, was committed for trial at the next': sitting of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth. Bail was allowed, himself for £500, and two sureties of £250 each.
