The long outstanding dispute between 3\: Sheehan, M.H.E., as trustee for.,late Karaitiana, and Douglas McLean, son of the late Sir Donald McLean, concerning Ngatirawa blocks, was settled this morning. • The difference l be.tween the amount offered for the purchase of the land, and that which was . demanded, was £1000. Mr .Sheehan; proposed, and Mr McLean agreed, that this sum should be given to the Napier, and Waipukurau Hospitals (£SOO to each) for the endowment and maintenance of a Maori ward, to be called the McLean-Karaitiana ward.
