The following amounts were paid to the owners over the late Auckland Summer Meeting, taking round figures :—Mr J. Pilbrow, £1509: Mr Bates, £385; Mr M. Smith, £296; Mr Walters, £229 ; Mr W. Bobbett, £118; Mr Cleary, £106; Mr Vercoe, £95; Mr Wheeler, £82; Major George, £22; Mr Pollock, £22; Mr Lennard, £15; Mr Enderby, £I' 4; Mr Brown, £14; making a total of £2922.
Mr Walter .Reynolds, the well-known actor, with, Mrs Eeynolds, went to San Francisco in the City of New York. He is on the look-out for novelties' 1 for the colonies. ~<i.
