AUCKLAND.

This day.

Owners of land in the Waipa Valley, above Alexandra, lately held a meeting, and agreed to ask (Government for a sitting of the Native ,Lands Court to decide on their titles. "The necessary documents were brought down from Waikato by Mr Sherrin, and delivered to Messrs Dignan and Armstrong, who are authorised to take the necessary steps to procure a sitting of the Court. The natives are anxious to have the land put through without becoming involved with companies and speculators. A consider* abje amount of money will be required for the necessary surveys. The area of the block is estimated at 140,C00 acres, and it comprises th<? best of the King country. If the Court were to adjudicate upon this land, Mr Bryce need not trouble himself about either Tawhiao or Wahanui.
