Yesterday,
The Foresters Fete was well attended during the day, and wound up by a torchlight procession ai-ui^ht.
This day
The much needed rain is'now falling. Sir Julius Vogel arrived at 1 o'clock, and was met by Major Atkinson and several leading citizens. There was no ceremony. He will be entertained at luncheon to-morrow.
