This day. Lady Emma is scratched for the St. Andrew's Handicap. Mrs MeVickar died last night from the result of injuries self-inflicted. At a furthtr meeting of Singer's creditors to-day, it was agreed to accept a compromise of eight shillings in the pound ; half cash and the balance in four months, Debts upwards of £10,000 have been proved.

Auckland, This day
Mr Bryce is a passenger from Waikato to Auckland. Great dissatisfaction was expressed with him in Cambridge this morning, owing to his refusing to meet a deputation of the highway board, he having promised to do so. He arrived in Cambridge last evening from Alexandra, where he has been trying to conciliate the natives, but, rumor says, without success.
