AUCKLAND.
This day,
Mr Kitso, representative of the capitalists, leaves Auckland to-morrow for the Thames to interview the local bodies in connection with the railway. Mr Carrick, Mr Sheehan's secretary, is in Auckland attending to the railway and other matters connected with the Thames.
The Hand of Friendship Company has been floated. Nearly twice the number of shares were applied for. Buyers here £15.
