The Kingites.
[by telegraph.] (fbom oue own coeeespondent.)
Auckland, This day,
Tv Tawhiao and a number of Kingites have come down with the canoe party from Waikato, and converse freely enough about the negotiations which were so suddenly broken off last Saturday. They say that the Kingites had no prejudice against Mr Bryce, and were willing to consider his offers, although they could see that 1 hey were inferior to the offers made by Sir Donald McLean and Sir George Grey. They say that Mr Bryce was much too brusque, and sought to force them to come to a sudden decision, which they were not inclined to do on a matter of so much importance. It is not likely, they say, that the Kingites will make any proposition to the Government.
