The steamer Mohaka, which left Wei lington on Friday, got disabled at 11 o'clock the same night, when about 16 miles off Warau. A strong south-easter came on, and she lay-to four or five hours. Then she ran into Tory Channel about 1 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, dropping anchor near Jackson's Bay. She touched ground slightly, but got off uninjured in about an hour. The master, mate, and Mr Duncas, passenger, left for Picton in a boat, and reached Waikawa Bay, .some, miles distant, about 9 o'clock, after a wet and windy pull of over five hours. The three reached Picton at halfpast 10 o'clock at night. The master and mate returned to the steamer at 4" ».m. on Sunday with the necessary material to repair damages.
