Miss Martha Hamilton, formerly assistant of the Girls' High School, Christchurch, Las been appointed lady principal to the Girls' High School, Wellington. A petition was presented to the acting Governor this morning praying for remission of the sentence passed on two young persons for indecent behaviour in the Botanical Gardens. The father of the lad arrived from Wanganui yesterday to interview the Minister of Justice on the subject.
