Displayed no Distress Signals. [Per Pbi£s Association.] JNbw Plymouth, This day. The s.s. ( Lalhv Rdokh arrived in the Waitara last night She had been taking shelter at Kawhia. The captain of the Lalla Rookk ;says he left the Manukau last Wednesday, and finding a strong south westerly wind and sea anchored lunder the Albatross Point on Thursday morning. Finding the sea too heavy, they lifted anchor and made for the Kawhia, and remained there until yesterday morning, when she left and arrived at Waitara shortly after seven last evening. The captain reports that the whole of the i epurt in reference to distress signals is incorrect; the only signal was the usual recognition of a steamer passing, by exhibiting a light. The Lalla Eo^kh showed only a flare light when passing the Macgregor. Those on board were received very kindly by the-natives at Kawhi».
