The next morning as he wa9 tearing his house along came a strawberry man who was yelling his wares at the top of hit voice. "Do jou aell any more berries for yelling in tHat - manner?" asked the citizen, as the peddler drew rein. "Oh, take in your nose?*', was the reply.

" No impudence, sir." " And none frcm you, either.." " You deserve a good thrashing.". ' * "And perhaps you can give it to me." There was the golden opportunity. Tbe one had science—the other impu> dence. The one had received tbirtyeight lessons in boxing—the other fairly ached to be pounded.
" Don't talk that way to me or I'll knock you down," said'the finished pupil as he gently threw himself into position to smash a brick wall.
