Fatal Accident.

Yesterday.

A sad and fatal accident occurred on the tramway this morning, about 11 o'clock. The steam engine, with two cars 'attached, was coming from the north-east Valley into town, when a little boy, named Tetter staged about 10, tU# son of a shoemaker in the Valley, who was in a bar nearest the engine, attempted to get out without giving the signal to stop. He swung right under the car, and the wheels passed over his neck and arm. His head is cut almost entirely off. The conductor was in the second car taking tickets at the time. A gentleman, who saw the lad getting off, gave the signal to stop, but it was too late to provent the accident. The body was taken to the Morgue, and au inquest will probably be held to»morrow. At a meeting of the creditors of Biohard Dodds Thomson, a customs officer, it appeared that the debtor was in receipt of a salary of £150 a year,,but was living at the rate of £500.
