; London, September 13. The British Advance. Sir Garnet, with a strong force of British troops, is now advancing on both sides of the Fresh Water Canal, while the Cavalry and Horsp Artillery have been detached to attempt a flank movement with a view of destroying the railway in Arabi's rear, and so cutting off his retreat^ when attacked in front by the main body.
