NELSON.

This day. in inquest was held on the body of Nelson, who was found dead in his cell at the gaol yesterday. The evidence showed that the utmost attention and kindness was shown deceased, who was left alone at his own request, and although the doctor who saw the man on Sunday morning had diagnosed the case correctly there appeared no probability of a fatal termination. The post mortem examination found that death resulted from congestion of the lungs, but the liver was diseased, also the stomach, and the intestines were congested. A verdict was given accordingly.
