The Zulu War.
Thompson's Mirror of the Zulu War opens at the Academy of Music tonight, after a splendid run of business in Auckland, extending over seven weeks, during which prizes were given away nightly. The Diorama abounds with mechanical effects,' possessing 4,0f0 moving figures. The torpedo explosion is also a wonderful contrivance. Persons can gefc«ptlty:glean more information relative to a subject by a representation than by any, amount of reading. Mr Archibald Forbes, the celebrated war correspondent, says that this Diorama is a very faithful image" of' the Zulu campaign. The details of the entertainment appear in oar advertising col v mns. The season will only; last* five nights, during which numerous prelects will be given away. We may add that the Diorama has been referred torn most flattering terms by the Press wherever it visited.
