Naval Brigade.
This popular Company turned oat on the 10th in great force for their Captain's inspection parade. It must have been gratifying to the officers to see so excellent a muster of the members on this occasion ; it shows that esprit de corps is still the great cohesive force of the company. After inspection the members held a meeting tor the election of officers to fill the vacancies which have taken place through the resignation of Lieutenants Gavin and Lawless who have left the district. Sub-Lieutenant Gordon, the present Carbine Champion, was elected Ist Lieutenant, Sub-Lieutenant Burton was elected 2ad Lieutenant, and Paymaster Potts was elected 3rd Lieutenant. Much enthusiasm was displayed when the result of the different elections was announced. There is every reason to believe that the corps has made an excellent selection.
