This day. Arrived: Birker, barque, Captain Jones, from London, 80 days out. A fortnight ago an apprentice named Barringham fell from the spanker gaff, and had his thigh bone broken.

Infromation was received at the Telegraph Department yesterday that the overland communication between Alexandria and Suez had been temporarily interrupted. A further telegram this morning states communication has been restored.
