His Excellency Serkis Bey Ballian, architect in chief to his Majesty the Sultan baß presented a project for: the construction of a line of railway from Suedieh by Aleppo to Bagdad. The project aims at the gradual development of the resources of the country^ on each side of the line of railway, which would be advanced by easy stages after leaving Aleppo,—the rate of advancement depending on the,rate of'.development of the country.
