Mslboubnb, Tuesday. ;n the action, Cart versus the Standard
Insurance Company of New Zealand, to recover the insurance on the schooner Alma, in which a verdict was last month returned for the plaintiff, judgment has, by order of the Court, been postponed. The inquiry held by the University Oouucil into the fracas which occurred at the meeting of tbe Professional Board of the University last week has resulted in the suspension of Professor Elkington for three months, and of Professor Monson for two months.
Latest Mauritius advices report that engagements of sugar for Dunedin amount to 750 tons, and for Lyttelton to 200 tons ; but none had cleared since the sth of November.
