Mr Sydney Johnston retired. . \ Hawkes Bay.—Captain Russell and Mr Sutton. s ; Wellington, This day. At the nomination for South Wellington to-day:—Paul Coffey, M. B. Edwards, Wm. Hutchison, Chas. Hendrey, and 0. J. Forward were proposed, but the latter found no seconder. The Bhow of hands was Coffey 56, Hutchison 43, Edwards 18, Hendry, 9. Dunedin, Thi3 day. For Roslyn—'Joha Batbgate, Captain
Scott, Edmund Hodgkinson, and David Millar were nominated. The show of hands was in favor of Hodgkinson. For Peninsula—James beaton, W. H. Cutten, W. Donnelly, and James Lewis. The show of hands was in favor of Cutten.
