When bold volunteers oome marching home, Hurrah, Hurrah! Returning from their warlike roam,
Hurrah, Hurrah! They've captured Te Whiti, so dirty and
■gritty, Aud stormed the great Parihaka city; And they'll all sing out When the Bands shall play them home.
The people turned out all in a mats,
Hurrah, H< rrah! The tall, the short,the lean, the fat,
Hurrah, Hurrah! The women all cried out with joy, my boys; The maidens looked bo coy, my boys; And they all hurrahed When the men came marching home.
The talk last night was military quite, Hurrah, Hurrah! ,:. Te Whiti, old Tito, and Tohu, the brave,
Hurrah, Hurrah! They'd been and caught the bold Hiroki, And had placed him in a Pakeha chokey, And they all sang out When Hiroki was marching home.
Now, citizens, all just listen tome,
Hurrah, Hurrah! Let's get up a ball and glorious spree, Hurrah, Hurrah! We'll toast 'em and feed 'em, And dance 'em and sing 'em, . > And praise 'em, and flatter 'em, and dine'em, and about 'em, For they've all come back once more.
