This day.

Another large haul of prisoners was made yesterday of the Natiaruamuri. One hundred and forty-seven men, seventy-four women, and eighty-seven children of the tribes between here and New Plymouth ; forty-one men, fifteen women and ten children, besides nine men and one women from the fence.

The Nelson volunteers marched at eight to-day, which will clear the coast of our citizen soldiers, and though they have had to experience exposure and hardship,"they have passed through the ordeal with credit to themselves and to the volunteer force of the colony. . Mr Bryce expressed his appreciation of their services, and especially of Major Pitt, who commanded the whole of the volunteers. His officers throughout ably seconded him. The A.C. band played them out of Parihaka amidst hearty cheers.

-The resources of the. contractor for transport, J. Stevenson, have been tried to the utmost, but throughout he has met all requirements. Nineteen drays were required for this morning, besides twelve away with the Ngatiawa, but the well known energetic contractor was not to be beaten. The equipment of the volunteers is nearly completed, a telegram having gone through yesterday to complete the issue of boots to make up the Nelson men to a free kit.

The Taranaki Mounted Rifles escorted the natives to New Plymouth yesterday, and do not return. Kereopa has just been arrested.
