Sydney, This day. The Hon. R Gr. Darley, member of the Legislative Council, owing to the retirement of Sir John Robertson, enters the Cabinet without portfolio. The position of the Minister of Education is still open. There are five candidates for the seat in the Assembly for Carcoar, rendered vacant by the expulsion of Mr A. E. Baker. The outbreak of small-pox is sensibly decreasing.
