CHRISTCHURCH.
This day,
W. W. Charters, arrested in England by Constable Brooks, arrived by the ship Wanganui last night, and was brought up at the Magistrates court this morning charged with embezzling £520 belonging to the Sydenham Building Society, and also with forging a bill of exchange for £147. He was remanded till November 12th.
