An Order in Council has been just issued, making it lawful to u*e any kind of stamps isMied by the G.-vernraent, except beer duty sLamps, in payment of any fees under the stamp leu ;u-ls of 1875 or 1880, jiud allowing the penny postage stamps to be u«ed for stamping receipts, &c, under the Slant;* Ac", 1875.
Wellington Harbor Board Debentures to the value of £30 000 at 6 per cent, are all placed in the Melbourne at 104 They were only forwaided by the Te Anau last trip.

The special correspondent atPungaiehu wires that he. visited Parihaka this morning, and a large number of natives were there. Tohu addressed a largo assemblage yesterday, and to day preached peace. He told the natives not to be frightened. j
Several influential chiefs from the other districts are at Paribaka, but no natives have been out of the settlement for nine days.
