DISTRICT COURT.
THIS DAY. (Before Judge Macdonald.) IN BANKRUPTCY. BE JOHN WILSON. Mr Miller appeared for the debtor, and applied for his discharge. He read a report from the trustees in this case, in which they said the bankrupt had done all he could under the circumstances to satisfy the claims of his creditors. The liabilities were set down at about £15. Discharge granted. HE FBEDEBICK JACKSON. Mr Brassey appeared for the defendant, who deposed that he had given up all his property, &c, to his creditors, and now for an order of discharge. Application granted. JAMBS COLLINS V. AHI PEPENE. Mr Brassey for plaintiff, and Mr Miller for the defendant.
This case was to have been heard last Court day, but there being no Court held Mr Brassey served the defendant with a copy of the original summons, without dealing with the first one served on him, -thus making ifr appear as if there were two cases against him. ~ Mr Miller contended that he would have to deal with the first summons served, and further said that that summons was bad, only ten days being allowed, instead of 15, as required by the regulations. After some discussion Mr Brassey consented to have the case adjourned till next Court day, in order to amend the plaint, and this was done. Adjourned Case. The case of Laughlin v. Coleman and Clarke was adjourned to next Court day.
