This day.
Two documents received by the Governor, one from the Chiefs of Raratonga, and the other from influential English residents, as to the alleged interference of a French man-o'-war vessel, are published.
The Grey town Club and the Working Men's Club at Greytown were destroyed by fire on Saturday night. The fire originated in the Greytown Club and was carried to the other club. The following are the insurances :—Greytown Club, £710 in the New Zealand ; and Working Men's Club, £500 in the South British.
