CALOGRAMS.

[Kbuter's- Special.]

London, October 17 The Trouble in Ireland.

Parnell's name has been removed from the Commission of the Peace in Ireland.

It is announced that in view of the necessity for further reinforcements in Ireland, three regiments will be dcs patched from England to the disturbed districts without delay.

Much excitement continues to prevail in Ireland over the action of the Executive in making so many arrests of prominent agitators. Public feeling has manifested itself strongly in Dublin, and tumultuous gatherings of people have taken place to denounce the Government.

A deputation from the Dublin Corporation waited to day upom the Chief Secretary for Ireland, to complain that the Constabulary had been guilty of great brutality in the suppression of recent riots. Mr Forster in reply stated that he could only justify the action of the police. ■<■ Measures adopted by Government for the suppression of disorder in Ireland are being carried out with unabated vigour. Further lar^e numbers of warrants have been issued by the Irish Executive for the arrest of " suspects," and many of the local leaders of the Land League have already been taken into custody in the proclaimed districts. Telegrams to hand from Ireland state that the riots which recently occurred at Limerick between the police and the people were renewed to-day, when further serious disturbances took place. ' The headquarters of the Irish National Land League have been removed to Liverpool, and since the arrest of Dillon on the 14th inst, Arthur O'Connor, M.P,. for Queen's County, for whose arrest a warrant has been issued, and [who has escaped to England, has assumed the direction of the affairs of the League. Pabis, October 17. It is authoritatively denied here that the French Government has resigned. Bumors which have been current to that effect are devoid of foundation.
