Mr Saunders addressed his constituents at Kaikouta last night. He expressed approval of the Licensing, Corrupt Practices, aid Kepresentdtion Acts, which redeemed the session from barrenness. He had voted against Mr Ormond so as to prevent Grey aud Macandrow having any chance to regain power He expressed Htroug disapproval at the restoration of the ten per cent, on salaries, and considered any farther increase of the national debt incompatible with the future prosperity and credit of the colony. He opposed all protraction (?), and condemned the Council's action on the Pension Bill. He held himself free to support any party. A vote of confidence and support was carried by a majority of 8.
