Patea, This day. Mr George Hutchison, a candidate for Egmont, addressed a crowded meeting here last night. He said he would support the want of confidence motion in the Government if proposed by Mr Ormond, providing the re-establishment of Provincialism was not contemplated. A vote of confidence in Hutchison was carried by 12 to 2.
Kumaba, This day. 11. J. Scddon annount#s himself a candidate for the next election for Kumara,
