In replying' to De Lautor, Rolleston said all liabilities for voluuteer uniforms incurred bona fide prior to the withdrawal of the capitation allowance would be.proTided for.

Replying to Harris, Hall said Papo* toi Post Office had been removed to Woodside for reasons of economy, and that enquiries would be made .as to the necessity for re-establishing an office at the former places ;--.•.■■■

A message was received from the acting Governor, sending the amendments in Representation Bill to have existing electoral rolls, and to provide that each of the new districts should for the purposes of registration be deemed to have been constituted for six months. The amendments were agreed to. The Appropriation Bill was introduced and read a first time. On the motion for a second reading, Seddon spoke at great length on the injustice proposed to be done the West Coast in the matter of. roads apppropriation. The motion for the second reading was carried. The Bill was considered in committee, passed through committee, and reported with amendment, read a third time and passed.
