WELLINGTON.
This day. Death of an old Colonist. Mr W. 8. Moorhouse, M.H.K. for Ashley, died this morning.
Later.
Mr Moorhonse died at 8.20 this morning. He had been suffering from diabetes for the past twoiyears and,while attending the Native' Lands Court at^Taupo, he had an acute attack, which resulted in the formation of an abscegs in his, right kidney." Mr Moorhouse returned to Wellington from Taupo shortly after the opening of the present session of Parliament, but was unable to attend his Parliamentary duties. It is understood it was the wish of the deceased to be buried in Canterbury, and that the Stella, which is due here today, will leave to morrow morning, conveying the body to Lyttelton.
