THE TIKI.
Blackmobb's. —The hands have been somewhat reduced in the mine, owing to the impossibility of finding stowage room - for the quartz, of which there is a very largo quantity now on hand, something over 300 tons. The work in the mine is at present confined to putting up a rise on the flat reef and a little stoping from the rise on big reef. Good crushing; stuff is coming to hand, and showinj^gold freely. Z'.' Home, KuLE.-^jcbe work in this mine is in a very forwardV state. ■{ A large and substantially-built paddock has been constructed on the road convenient to the new trauiray, and a short shoot and tram from the mine is in course of construction to connect with it. They have also, a large accumulation ; *of ./'• quartz in several paddocks, and the manager assures me that he is ready at a moment's notice to commence, crushing. • A large quantity of first class quartz is constantly coming out. \ Good picked stone and specimens are got out overy day. 1 Ti^t.—Mr lintehison, the manager, is prospecting in the new level. A little gold can be got at times, but nothing of any importance at present. .: . Miosi Win.—The manager is putting in .a drive about 60 feet through the Tiki ground to cut the new leader. This will he accomplished in a few weeks. In the old workings the reef is looking first.rate. ■' Gold may be got at anytime.
