This day. A meeting was held at the town hall last night, in answer to a requisition to the Mayor. The attendance was large, and the following resolutions weire carried unanimously :—(1.) That this meeting strongly condemns the principles of the Representation Bill now passing through its final stages in the House, and protests against the disfranchisement of Westland. (2) That copies of the foregoing resolution be forwarded to the members representing the West Coast, and also to the Speaker and members of the Legislative Council. .„ . ' ■
