Local Board of Health.

A SPECIAL meeting of the local Board of Health was held this morning in the Council Chambers. Albert street. There, were present —Crs McG-owan (in the chair), Wilson, Veale, Osborne, and Marshall.

A report wns laid on the table by Mr Mason, the officer of the Board, which stated that a number of the families which had scarlet fever had been served with milk from one particular dairy, and the inference was that the disease had been communicated by the milk. A copy of the report was ordered to be handed to Dr Payne, and he was requested to report upon all caseß of scarlet fever which had come under his notice, the officers of the Board to be at the disposal of the doctor.
