LYTTELTON.
This day. "Land Ho!"
The initial meeting of the " Land Ho ! " Association JNo. 1, formed to promote the nationalisation of the land in New Zealand, was held here last evening. The attendance, in spite of the bad weather, was good. The appointment of a president was postponed, but a secretary, treasurer and committee wore appointed, and the subscription was fixed at one shilling per month. A public discussion will be held here next week. The movement is well supported here, and the secretary stated that he expected branches would" shortly be founded in other towns.
