This day. Intercolonial Weather Exchange
Sydney, Monday. —Depression is forming over New South Wales, bringing thick south east weather and rising sea on coast couth of Sydney : barometer in west and interior is 304, in Bathurst 29-8, Sydney 30, and Hobart 30 2.
The Christchurch authorities seemed determined to enforce strictly the provisions of the Public Health Act, and'this morning two persons were charged with having failed to take their children to the public vaccinator seven days after vaccination as required by the act. The case against one broke down, but the other was sustained. The magistrate intimated his intention in future to inflict the full penalty for such an omission. The parent was ordered to take the child far vaccination next day.
Walter Lee plead-d guilty to having unstamped boxes of tobacco in his possession, aud was remanded for sentence until Thursday.
