County Election.
The election for the vacant seat in the County Council, resulted yesterday in the return of G. W. Bull by a majority ;of 20 votes. This was not a surprise to the supporters of Mr Bull, who reckoned on a large majority, for his committee had very carefully canvassed the ratepayers, and exacted pledges in favor of their candidate. There was the utmost good feeling shown by the supporters of both candidates, and Col. Fraser, the Relieving Officer, gave the greatest satisfaction, Messrs Crick and Melhouse acted as poll clerk.: The following were the numbers polled.-— Bull 147, Greenville 127.
