This day

Th,e body of T. Ward, who was drowned at Oamarama Creek, Okarito, was found yesterday on the beach at Arahura, north of Hokitika, upwards of seventy miles from where he was drowned. The head, which was severed from the body, was picked up uear the spot where the body was found today. Ie was greatly mutilated. An inquest will be held.
