A number of public meetings will be held at Normanby, Hatvera, Manaia, and Opunake to strengthen the hands of New Plymouth Harbor Enquiry Committee. The ratepayers protest strongly against being rated for harbor works which are only calculated to afford shelter to coasting steamers.
