In the House tj-day the report of the Pensions Committee was brought up. After reviewing the circumstances under which the pensions were granted to Fitz-. heibert, Domett, Gisborne, and Pollen, it was to the effect that though irregularities had occurred in the computation of tbo various pensions, it would be inadvisable to repudiate the liabilities founded on the Governor's warrant in each case, and that, therefore, tbe pensions in ques ion should be validated by Act.
