Monday

At a meeting of the Cook County Council on Friday last, the following resolution was carried unanimously :—" That a letter be written to Mr McDonald expressing surprise and regret at his voting against the Crown and Native Lands Eating Bill, after his letter of the 10th of July, as such bill affects the interests of the County maferially."
