Mr Charles Watson, of Halifax, describes in the " Alliance News" a gigantic e'flbrt in the wuy of tract dis trreuting, in which he. is engaged. In October last he made an offer of a free grant of 1,000,000 tracts to clergymen and others *ho would nndertate to distribute them. The applications were so numerous that Mr Watson extended his plan of operations, so that, including packages waiting to be sent off, he has given away since October 8,000,000 of tracts relating to temperanbe.
